Yes, you are absolutely correct, that Dickens' Scrooge is not overweight. I am sorry, I wasn't clear in my argument there. I wanted to talk about the Scrooge as an archetype initiated by Dickens but propounded by other media ranging from Doctor Who to Donald Duck. As time moved forward the archetype got muddled with the preexisting stereotypes around fat people. I really should have been more clear about my argument and I stand corrected.
